Beckley Retreats is excited to announce the launch of its 2024 Leaders Program – a condensed yet comprehensive format tailored to the needs of high-stress, time-poor modern leaders, as well as the curious.‍

The programme is designed to empower executives and leaders to come together and develop the mindset and tools for personal discovery and holistic wellbeing across mind, body, heart and spirit. It combines an immersive psilocybin and mindfulness community retreat in Jamaica (first dates are July 11-14, 2024) with pre- and post-online gatherings and optional 1:1 coaching.

For optimum flexibility, attendees can self-pace the preparation and integration stages. These are completely optional but are recommended for the biggest impact and results.

Says Neil Markey, CEO of Beckley Retreats, “Our new, shorter programme ensures that even the busiest among us can benefit from the psychological and emotional insights that psychedelics offer – insights that are so critical to effective leadership as well as to personal fulfilment and wellbeing.”

Programme Overview

  • Self-paced preparation: A week-long online module to help participants prepare mentally and emotionally for the retreat.

  • Immersive community retreat: A 3-night, 4-day mindful living retreat with a macrodose psilocybin ceremony as the centrepiece, alongside a well-paced schedule of contemplative practices including mindful movement/yoga, breathwork/voice activation and meditation and plenty of downtime for rest and reflection.

  • Post-retreat integration: A 2-week online programme, with in-app coaching, to amplify the retreat experience, integrating insights and new habits into daily life.

  • Continuing growth: Alumni are invited to stay committed through weekly mini-meditations, community gatherings and virtual offerings.

Programme Benefits

  • Stress reduction and resilience: Participants will experience a reduction in stress, emotional exhaustion and any accompanying symptoms of depression and anxiety – all too common in leadership roles.

  • Expanded self-insight: Participants will explore and discover their personal vision, purpose and meaning through inner inquiry, self-reflection and insight.

  • Enhanced creativity: Participants will boost their creativity and ability to think outside the box, reviving and rejuvenating their effectiveness in leadership, and life.

  • Greater clarity and joy: Participants will discover new ways to see life with clarity and joy, enriching their lives both professionally and personally.

Jim MacPhee, Former COO of Walt Disney World and a retreat participant, shared, “If you want to reinvent yourself and be a better human being as part of humanity, do the work… The mushroom doesn’t always give you what you want, but it will give you what you need.”

About the Ceremony
The dried mushroom preparation is custom made for each participant following a 1:1 dosing check-in with an experienced and professional facilitator. The ceremony lasts approximately six hours and takes place in a beautiful, natural, remote setting with live, multi-instrumental music and a nature soundscape. Participants relax on comfortable mats with eye masks, pillows and blankets to help them on their inward journey.

Safety
Participants’ psychological, emotional and physical safety is always the priority. They are rigorously screened for any known personal, medical or psychiatric issues before participating in the programme. There is a maximum 4:1 participant to facilitator ratio, a medical doctor and nurse on 24/7 call as well as access to urgent care facilities and hospitals. Beckley Retreat’s safety protocols are also regularly reviewed and updated.

About the Facilitators
The world-class team of facilitators have, between them, centuries of combined experience in holding safe, transformational space and guiding psychedelic experiences. They bring together the wisdom of indigenous practices with modern scientific knowledge and at least one facilitator on the retreat is a professionally licensed physician, psychologist, or psychotherapist.

About the Location
Jamaica is one of the few countries where the cultivation, gifting and consumption of psilocybin mushrooms is legal. This, together with its lush nature, beautiful landscapes and stunning sunrises and sunsets, makes it the ideal retreat setting.

The retreat enjoys exclusive use of the 2,000-acre Good Hope estate, a 45-minute drive from Montego Bay. It’s remote, safe, secure, and replete with historic charm. Comprising thirteen bedrooms across two centuries old cut-stone villas, there’s two swimming pools, a private beach and yoga room. Meals are abundant (participants work up a big appetite), nourishing and locally sourced, with some produce grown on the estate.

Enrolment and Special Offer
Retreat pricing starts at $2,850.

To celebrate the launch of the Leaders Program, Beckley Retreats is offering a $500 discount for bookings made by 30 June 2024, using the code LEADER500. Early registration is recommended as spaces are limited.
