James Kay

James’ creative consultancy draws on his broad knowledge of the industry from a content creator’s point of view, as well as his skill as a storyteller. Travel is the unbroken thread in James’s career – first exploring the world as a teacher of English abroad, then as a freelance travel writer as an adjunct to his roles as a news reporter, feature writer and news editor during a decade of experience in newspaper journalism. His focus moved from print to digital at the London Evening Standard, then expanded to communications at University College London before a year of full-time globetrotting led him, appropriately, to Lonely Planet, the iconic travel media company. He is currently studying for a Masters degree in creativity, innovation and leadership at Cass Business School.
