Wildfitness, experts in running transformational wellbeing breaks, has announced its new ‘home’ in Menorca, with retreats starting from next spring.
The new location is Binigaus Nou, a private estate on the south of the island, surrounded by 300 acres of fields and forests. Featuring a range of shared and private rooms and suites, the 18th century restored villa features its own pool and is a 15 minute walk from white sandy beaches. Move and breathe amongst the wild orchids, fig and citrus trees, and immerse yourself in the rich, health-boosting, eco-system of Menorca.
Director of Wildfitness, Eric Walters said, “We’re really excited to present Binigaus Nou as the new home for Wildfitness. The first week-long Menorca retreat will run from 7 – 13 April, followed by three further consecutive weeks and more planned for September. There’s the option of ‘one week fundamental’ and ‘two week transformational’ retreats. Eventually, our aim is to be based in Menorca for five months of the year, with retreats running in the most temperate months of April, May, June, September and October.”
With a philosophy rooted in evolutionary science and research that is backed by doctors and university lecturers, Wildfitness focuses on three elements: wild moving, wild eating and wild living. Their retreats are designed to educate and inspire a more mindful and integrative approach towards sustainable healthy living.
Walters adds, “Exercising in nature has plenty of benefits for both body and mind. Our busy, urban lives have created environments which are unrecognisable to the human body, and so we see plenty of mismatches in how we move, eat and rest. At Wildfitness, we aim to reprogramme unhealthy habits and postures and undo the damage caused by sedentary living, and Menorca provides the perfect natural environment to do so.”
As with all Wildfitness breaks, the new Menorca retreats are inclusive of accommodation, fresh and healthy meals using locally sourced, organic produce, as well as 2-4 daily group sessions, games and workshops on wild moving, living and eating. Also included are massages, immersive cultural experiences, cooking workshops, expert tuition, airport transfers and plenty of down time. Prices for the weeklong retreats will start from £1,232pp based on two sharing. (www.wildfitness.com/menorca.html)
