indigoeight is delighted to announce its appointment as representatives for The Good Spa Guide – the UK’s leading authority on the spa industry.

This June, the Guide’s redesigned website went live, providing an easier to navigate spa listings section as well as a number of interesting spa and wellness articles – from tried and tested spa holidays abroad to the most effective spa products and industry topics. The refreshed site also curates themed inspiration for users such as ‘best spas with rooftop pools’ recommending the best city hotspots and countryside retreats to the ‘best spas and festivals’ where the guide dons its wellies and heads into the festival field.

Offering a directory of the best spas in the UK and Ireland, The Good Spa Guide provides an expert guide as well as in-depth reviews, spa features, expert advice and competitions on its website. The company operates the trademarked bubble rating system, which is the UK’s only national spa rating system, and which feeds into the prestigious annual Good Spa Guide Awards.

Founded in 2006 by medical and health journalist, Daphne Metland, she realised there was a need for objective, unbiased reviews of spas and treatments to suit all tastes and budgets, following a frustrating spa experience the year before. And so, The Good Spa Guide was born.

Now at the helm, Caitlin Dalton, Editor of The Good Spa Guide, joined in 2014 and brings an even stronger health angle to the Guide’s established spa content. She started her career interning for one of the world’s largest health websites in California and, since then, has worked in health publishing from a small specialist publisher to the multi-national RELX Group (formerly Reed Elsevier).

Caitlin comments: “I was first introduced to spa-ing at 16 when my mother took me to a spa as a welcome to womanhood. Since then I’ve visited and reviewed spas on five continents (though still working on Antarctica).”

Working alongside Caitlin is Anna Ramsay, Head of Operations and Sales & Marketing. Anna began her career as a spa therapist before joining the pre-opening team at Four Seasons Hampshire. Speeding through the management programme, she went on to run the spa operation. Anna has also held management roles at One and Only Maldives, ESPA and the four red star The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel. Anna also joined The Good Spa Guide in 2014 where she manages the B2B side.

The Guide compiles the very best selection of spas suited to any budget, location and preferences: from the top rated luxury spas in London to affordable spa and wellness breaks in Scotland.  The comprehensive website also recommends current spa offers and spa competitions.
