Sophisticated Skiing (& Stylish Apres-Ski) at Hotel Arlberg - New Spa Floor and Pop Up Yurt for winter
A newly expanded spa, stylish pop up yurt ‘bar’ and a new family suite, make Hotel Arlberg in Lech the ideal destination this winter – whether you’re an avid skier or just keen on the apres ski.
The secret is now out about this independent, family-run hotel, which loyal guests have been keeping under wraps as their favourite retreat in the Austrian Alps. With a strong emphasis on alpine design and excellent cuisine, Hotel Arlberg also offers convenient ski in/ski out access. It’s been transformed over the past year by third generation owners, Benjamin and Patrick a young, married couple who’ve invested in the wellbeing proposition, accommodation suites and wider offering.
New Subterranean Spa
Brand new for winter 2019/2020, Hotel Arlberg unveils a beautifully designed, subterranean spa extension, complete with glass courtyards, library with fireplace lounge and relaxation rooms. This is in addition to renovations in the summer, which welcomed a heated outdoor pool with integrated hydro jets and terrace with bar, surrounded by sleek landscaped gardens and natural vegetation. New amenities for winter include Le Labo fragrances.
Sophisticated Apres Ski
Offering a more elegant alternative to the Austrian apres ski culture, a pop up Mongolian yurt features this winter in Hotel Arlberg’s gardens. Guests at the Apres Ski Hut, ‘The Yurt’, can enjoy a wide selection of quality wines and long drinks, while a range of intimate musical performances and guest DJs will feature throughout the season.
Perfect for families this winter, the hotel has introduced a new two-bedroom suite, with bunk beds, fireplace and large terrace. The hotel also offers daycare for children and can help to arrange ski school or private lessons.
With over 300km of runs, Lech is already a popular ski destination – a great option for beginners and families, as well as those more experienced on the slopes. Alternative activities include snowshoe hiking, cross country skiing, sledging and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
This winter season at Hotel Arlberg runs from 13 December – 14 April 2020. Prices start from EUR 600 per double room per night on half board basis. Fly to Zurich airport, from where it is a scenic 2.5 hour car ride, or Innsbruck airport where it’s just an hour’s transfer.
